Cupower is a new name in the field of LED drivers but certainly not a small company. Cupower is based in China and has been manufacturing LED drivers as ODM for various European A-brand suppliers for decades and has recently become active in Europe under its own name as well. The drivers are specified and produced according to European requirements. The head office of Cupower Europe is located in Germany and the CEO is a man with many years of experience in the lighting industry.
Together, Cupower and Chess can provide a total solution for luminaire manufacturers, leaving the customer complete freedom in his choice of components. This means there is no obligation to purchase both components from a single party and both Chess and Cupower operate at their own strength. In addition, when large quantities are requested, it is possible to integrate Mymesh into Cupower LED drivers to make system integration substantially easier.
This makes it possible to offer a strong selection of Mymesh and Cupower to both smaller fixture manufacturers and the very largest.
Truphone partners with Chess to roll out IoT connectivity across its smart lighting solutions. Chess will utilise Truphone’s IoT network for its Mymesh product line. With Mymesh, users can choose from a wide variety of methods to connect, manage and control thousands of devices simultaneously. Advantages:
- Highly reliable connection
- One dashboard to manage all connections
- Ability to further integrate connection manager in MMS.
Truphone’s simple, scalable IoT plans simplify the connectivity process, so Chess can focus on what it does best — developing its smart business technology.
Ralph Steffens, CEO at Truphone said: “The IoT still suffers from an image problem. It is seen across multiple industries as a luxury — and a complicated one at that. But this is far from the reality. Here at Truphone, we know that in order to reach the full potential of the IoT, it needs to be simple to use, manage and implement. And that’s exactly what we offer. Partnering with like-minded companies like Chess who share our vision in making the world smarter through connectivity brings us a step closer to mass IoT adoption and experiencing the true potential of this technology.”
May 16h: International Day of Light
Since 2015 the International Day of Light is a global initiative — UNESC0 — that provides an annual focal point for the continued appreciation of light and the role it plays in science, culture and art, education, and sustainable development, and in fields as diverse as medicine, communications, and energy. The day selected, May 16, marks the anniversary of the first successful operation of the laser in 1960 by physicist and engineer Theodore Maiman. This years theme is trust science.
