An iconic tower with a new future

Together with the Rembrandttoren and Mondriaantoren, the Breitnertoren forms part of the distinctive office ensemble at Amstelplein. The three buildings are named after Dutch masters and are a defining feature of the Amsterdam-East skyline.

After serving as Philips’ headquarters for many years, the Breitnertoren is undergoing a large-scale renovation and sustainability upgrade. Kuijpers and Wever Bouwgroep are involved in the delivery.

The solution supports a modular building structure and makes it possible to connect multiple technical installations through one intelligent infrastructure. This creates a building that can evolve with future technical and functional requirements.

Mymesh provides real-time insight into the performance of the building. Data relating to energy consumption, comfort and actual building use can be used to control and further optimise the technical installations.

This data-driven approach contributes to more efficient building management and allows settings to be adjusted in response to changing usage patterns and environmental conditions.

Collaboration and delivery

The renovation of the Breitnertoren is being delivered in collaboration with Huygen, Kuijpers, Wever Bouwgroep and Van Lanschot Kempen.

With Van Lanschot Kempen as the future tenant, the Breitnertoren will once again take on a prominent role within Amsterdam’s office district. Technology, circularity, sustainability and comfort are brought together within one integrated project.
